Adventures on the Max

Shanna with "Homeboy 1" and "Homeboy 2" I like the wine and the peace sign! Apparently Shanna's hand was too close to "Homeboy #1 and said get your hand out of my face...Shanna replied with "My hand is on my body" Shanna and Me--Good thing I had my DB Fire beanie it was freezing!
The group with the "Homeboys" Apparently, there were 10g's in the bag
Rose in action playing rock, paper, scissors
Good times!
The guy in the black jacket was the entertainment for the evening and started the games. Mary asked if she could hire him for a 5 year old Birthday parties.

You never know what to experience when riding the Max. Yes, I know it's free public transportation, but I have never had a dull moment. We ride the Max at least a few times a month, and always have great stories to share.
This past weekend was none the less. We enjoyed happy hour prior to the Jax game and then headed to catch the Max to the Rose Garden. Shanna catches the attention of many, even at the Max stop! These "homeboys" as they called themselves were hitting on Shanna and started talking about Obama and saw me taking photos of our group and wanted to join in. Too bad they didn't want to share their $2 wine! We made it safely to the game!
After a big W for the Lumberjax at the Rose Garden it was time to head out. Just when we thought the Max ride back to the car couldn't get any better...it did! A friendly gentleman asked if I wanted to play rock, paper, scissors. I replied "What?" he repeated himself. I passed and he went onto the guy sitting next to me. Needless to say, they started playing rock, paper, scissors and then within minutes everyone on the Max was playing, it was like multiple tournaments taking place at once. The hardest part was to keep your balance while concentrating. Always good times on the Max in P-town!
Until next time...

W

There were two good fights that had the crowd cheering and on their feet. I have to say I was included in the fans that were cheering for the fight! Morgan received a three minute penalty....but, well worth it!
Talk about bouncing back! The Jax did that in a big way Friday night with a huge 15-10 dismantling of the Edmonton Rush. The offense looked comfortable and fluid throughout the evening while the defense turned in another stellar performance. Goal of the night had to go to Cory Conway #91 for his crazy behind the back dump in.
Looking forward to the next game on February 7th.

Gotta love self portraits :)

We enjoyed another home game Friday night with the Bracken's, Gibbins's, and Josh. We missed you Mary. Nothin' but a good time was had by all!
Friday Night: The best first quarter in history (well, at least in my opinion) and we played strong on the offense and defense. Came up short losing 10-12, still coming up short now headed to Colorado to play Saturday night on their turf.

Saturday Night: Wow! 14-5, Jax over Colorado? I knew we needed this win, but I was skeptical about the game on Colorado's home turf. If we can build a little momentum through the Rush games, it might give us what we need against the Stealth and Wings. It would be nice to see some home stomping next!

Let's have a repeat of this again!
The Jax season has begun...woo hoo! We have our season tickets again along with the Williams sitting one row in front of us. It's great, kind of like our own little section of fun! Unfortunately, we fell up short on the home opener, the season is just beginning! I LOVE lacrosse. If anyone is interested in going to a game, let us know we have four seats.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a safe and very Happy New Year! We, at the Gallinger household spent our New Year's Eve on the couch at home feeling under the weather. Ugh! Unfortunately, we missed the yearly NYE Shin-dig at the Williams homestead in Molalla. I can't wait to hear the details :)
Wishing each of you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2009!
